The YMCA Masters Nationals is a fun and competitive event (no qualifying standards, all are welcome); however, it is not a USMS-sanctioned meet, so Swim Melbourne Masters does not compete under our club name. Instead, the Florida Gold Coast LMSC has arranged a "low cost" temporary membership option through the YMCA of the Palm Beaches to meet the YMCA membership requirement.
The exciting news? The YMCA of the Palm Beaches team is highly competitive and is aiming to win the meet this year! This event also gives us a unique opportunity to team up with swimmers from normally rival Florida teams for relays, historically, this meet has produced incredibly fast and record setting relays.
Even better, times from this meet are recognized by USMS and will count toward records and Top Ten rankings.

2025 YMCA Masters National Championships
May 8-11 – Orlando, FL
The 2025 YMCA Masters National Swim Meet will be held at the Rosen Aquatic Center at 8422 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819 on May 8-11. The national meet requires that swimmers are members of the Y. The FGC LMSC is providing the opportunity to join the YMCA of the Palm Beaches so we can go as one combined team. Check with your coach to see if your club has other arrangements with another Y.
If you are already a member of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches, you do not need to join again. If you already belong to another Y, you may be able to go to the meet with that Y, but will not be able to swim relays with us. (Check with your YMCA to see if they will provide the required Certificate of Insurance).

We are pleased to provide all Masters swimmers with the opportunity to join the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. The cost is only $39. Membership applications must be submitted by Monday, April 7. See details below. Please also let Barb Protzman know that you are joining the Y.
MEET ENTRY
After you join the YMCA, you can enter the meet online at
2025 YMCA National Masters Meet (5/8/2025-5/11/2025)
You must join the Y before you enter the meet.
Be sure to select “Palm Beaches (1305)” as your club when you enter the meet. For your coach’s name, use Barb Protzman. The online entry system for the meet is open and will close on April 24. All entries must be done online.
After the meet entry deadline, a form will be emailed to everyone who entered the meet for the YMCA of the Palm Beaches to sign up for relays.

INSTRUCTIONS TO JOIN THE YMCA OF THE PALM BEACHES
1. Fill out the membership form attached to this email (all 3 pages).
2. When filling out the forms, it will be necessary to provide payment information. The following forms of payment will be accepted:
a. Check – Please make checks for $39 payable to the YMCA.
b. Cash – If you prefer cash, it is preferred that you bring it into the Y. If you feel comfortable mailing cash, it would be accepted.
c. Debit/Credit Card – This will be filled out on the membership packet, otherwise, please contact Chelsea Flouton to coordinate payment.
3. Once you have filled out the forms, you may send your forms in to Chelsea in one of two ways:
a. Email – This is the preferred method. You may scan the completed forms and email them to MembershipLead@ymcapalmbeaches.org.
If you choose to email the information, then payment info must be provided on the membership form or you can call Chelsea at561-508-4021and give her your credit card info after you send the form.
b. US Mail - Please mail the form to Chelsea Flouton at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches, 2728 Lake Worth Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
Forms and payments must be submitted by Monday, April 7, 2025.
