Guppy Group is a great fit for swimmers who are newer to coached swim practice, working on stroke fundamentals, or returning to the pool after time away.
This is not a learn-to-swim class, so swimmers should be comfortable swimming 25 yards continuously, which is one length of the pool.
Guppy sessions are smaller and focus mostly on freestyle, with optional stroke work depending on the group. The goal is to build confidence, improve technique, and help swimmers feel more comfortable in a coached practice setting.
Most swimmers complete about 800 to 1,500 yards in a one-hour Guppy session, depending on ability and comfort level.
