Laura Harting’s passion for swimming runs deep—first as an athlete, then as a coach. She swam four years at a small Division II school in Ohio before moving to the deck, where she spent seven years coaching at the collegiate level with stops at Wittenberg University, St. Bonaventure University, and Florida Tech. Along the way, she guided multiple conference champions and NCAA All-Americans, while also coaching six summers of age group swimming.
Now the head coach at Edgewood High School, Laura led the girls’ team to the 2024 district title in her very first season, producing three state qualifiers and two relay qualifiers. A Red Cross–certified lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, and water safety instructor, she brings both safety and expertise to every practice. Whether working with beginners or seasoned competitors, Laura loves helping swimmers of all ages improve their technique, gain confidence, and reach their goals in the water.
